Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) in partnership with Northumbria University (QFBA-Northumbria University) launched its new master’s programmes MSc in Business Analytics and MSc in Digital Marketing for the academic year 2023 - 2024.

With a greater aim of providing academic excellence and contributing to Qatar’s human capital development, QFBA-Northumbria University sought to provide the market with empowered working professionals enriched with the proper knowledge and experience to be successful leaders and managers in the market.

Commenting on the launch of the master’s programmes, QFBA Acting CEO Khalifa Al Yafei said, “For the first time in Qatar, Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) in partnership with Northumbria University (QFBA-Northumbria University) launched an MSc in Business Analytics and MSc in Digital marketing which is designed to meet the needs of the market and the growing demand of using digital marketing and business analytics techniques, in addition to enriching the market with such advanced professions.”

Khalifa said, “When designing such programmes, we made sure to make it suitable for everyone with a bachelor’s degree regardless of their major and convenient for working employees.”

Shedding the light on programmes’ details, Khalifa said, “Programme duration is only one year, participants are required to have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study with a minimum 2:2 classification (2.70/4.0 GPA) and IELTS test with a minimum score of 6.5 if the applicant is a graduate from a non-English speaking institution.”

Dr. Ali Malik, head of Academic Affairs, said, “These programmes aim to provide participants with a suitable and enhanced understanding of the role of digital marketing and its strategies aligning with the future needs of the market.”

He said, “It prepares participants educationally and practically during their studies, by engaging them in the workforce in existing companies in the market, which enables them in the future to enter the market either by working for private and governmental companies or opening their own business.”

In addition to that, he said, “The programme is unique as it has been developed in close consultation with two leading marketing professional bodies, the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM).”

It’s worth mentioning that Northumbria University has been in partnership with Qatar Finance and Business Academy since 2018 awarded “University of the Year” in 2022 by Times Higher Education Awards 2022.
