The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has inaugurated Sheikh Hamad bin Sultan bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani Mosque in the Umm Al Amad area.Built over 2267 square metres, the mosque can accommodate about 1,150 worshippers. The new mosque has a main prayer hall that can accommodate 650 worshippers, and a prayer hall on the mezzanine floor that can accommodate 450 worshippers, in addition to a women's hall that can accommodate 60 worshippers, in addition to parking lots for 17 car of which several parking lots are designated to serve people with special needs.
