GEMS Wellington School - Qatar has announced a scholarship programme for Year 9 students. The academic scholarships offer a 50 percent discount on tuition fees of students for excellence in Mathematics, English and Science. The programme is for the 2017-2018 academic year with both new and existing students from the school able to apply.
Prospective candidates will need to participate in an assessment. All contending students must complete an academic paper focusing on key skills for their chosen subject, as well as a team activity to demonstrate their knowledge and characteristic traits. The Academic Scholarships are available to children who are studying any curriculum including CBSE, British National Curriculum, IB or K-12.
GEMS Principal Jonathan Dey said:"The scholarships are unique opportunities for students to foster their talents and gain recognition for their skills. We are pleased to offer these scholarships as it is gratifying to support students in such a direct way. With these scholarships, we are not only helping these students achieve their dreams but also sending a message across the larger community about promoting academic excellence."
The school has granted scholarships for Maths and Science and will offer English scholarships on April 22.
