The International Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha signed a partnership agreement with Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport to promote the six-monthinternational event.
The signing of the agreement was attended by Minister of Municipality HE Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaei, who is also Chairman of the National Committee for Expo 2023 Doha.
The agreement will allow transit visitors of Hamad International Airport to visit the expo instead of having to wait at the airport. Qatar Airways for its part will play promotional videos for the expo aboard its flights.
Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker said, “A number of significant events taking place in Qatar in 2023 build upon our investment in infrastructure and our hospitality industry in order to offer more specialized tourism, world class sporting activities including the Geneva International Motor Show and the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The Expo 2023 Doha Qatar is a key international addition to the calendar and will see a major focus on Climate Change. I am delighted to announce that Qatar Airways will be a leading sponsor, which will see the airline promote the Expo and encourage visitors through compelling travel packages."
For his part, Chief Operating Officer of Hamad International Airport Eng. Badr Mohammed Al Meer said, “We are honoured to be one of the official partners of the Expo 2023 Doha and look forward to welcoming visitors to this prestigious event. As the main entry point for travelers, we aim to offer passengers arriving to the State of Qatar an unmatched airport experience and seamless connectivity to the city of Doha and the event."

The airport will become Expo 2023 Doha strategic partner, supporting the hosting of Expo 2023 Doha visitors from the region and all around the world.
Expo 2023 Doha will contribute to further establishing Qatar’s position as a regionally and internationally attractive destination and will serve as another important milestone for the country, attracting visitors from the region and overseas. It will take place from Oct. 2, 2023 to March 28, 2024.
