An iftar gathering was organised by the Qatar KMCC Nadapuram Mandal Committee at Thumama Olive International School ground.
The excellently organised ‘Nadapuram Tura’ was attended by a large number of expatriates from Nadapuram of India’s Kerala state and its surrounding areas, as well as notable figures from different sectors in Doha.
The mega iftar brought together thousands of people including women and children. As a part of the event, a free medical checkup was organised in partnership with Reyada Medicals.
The Iftar meet, chaired by CK Ubaid, was inaugurated by KMCC State President SAM Basheer, while Kozhikode District Muslim League Treasurer, Soupy Narikatteri, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The event witnessed the participation of ICC President Mani Kandan. Jafar Khan, Mohammad Kunj, Varki Boban, Abdul Raoof Kondotty, MP Shafi Haji, Zainul Abideen Safari, Raheez Wayanad, Saudi Mustafa, Dr. Samad, were among the other notable people present. Representatives of numerous organisations including Abubakar Qasimi, Sadique Chennadan, Ansar Kolladan, KTK, Naushad UMAI, Ashiq Voliq, Jassim Kunnoth, and Santosh Thuneri apart from a number of media persons were also in attendance.
A felicitation ceremony was also held for individuals selected to serve on the Indian Embassy’s apex body and KMCC Al Ihsan Mayyith Paripalana Committee, which supports with paperwork clearance, repatriation of bodies, and performing final rites for burials in Qatar.
During the event, Sneha Suraksha Yojana project award winner Ajmal PP, and the best-performing panchayat committee were given prizes.
PV Muhammad Maulavi led the prayer, while Latheef VP delivered the welcome speech. Saifuddin Kavilumpara extended the vote of thanks.
