The Center for Indian Community (CIC) Qatar - Rayyan Zone felicitated several organisations, institutions and individuals who supported its ‘Iftar Kit’ distribution campaign throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.

CIC Central Public Service Wing Chairman P P Raheem inaugurated the felicitation ceremony, presided over by Zonal Vice President of CIC Subul Abdul Aziz. CIC Secretary Abdul Jaleel MM welcomed the gathering, while Zonal Public Service Wing leader Siddique Vengara proposed the vote of thanks.

As part of the campaign, special iftar food kits were distributed to people in Abu Nakhla, Qirana, Umm Guran, Jeryan, Industrial Area, Shahaniya, and Murrah. The campaign also reached out to herdsmen and other people working in desert areas, as well as families of people in prison, providing them with iftar kits.

The campaign was supported by organisations such as Wahab Foundation, Telangana Welfare Association, ITPN, Ansar Alumni, Qatar Malayalees, Mallu Volunteers and MES College Alumni, as well as various social welfare groups, business establishments and individuals.

Over 30,000 meal packets and essential foods were distributed as part of the campaign, in addition to new clothes during Eid Al-Fitr holidays.

CIC Rayyan zonal volunteers were also honoured at the function, which was attended by Zonal executive members Rafeeq Thangal, Hussain Kadannamanna, Kavil Abdul Rahman, Mohsin VK, Thahir TK and Basith.
