THE Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) opened Mohammed Bin Jassim Park in Umm Salal Mohammed after its rehabilitation on Monday.
Director of Umm Salal Municipality Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed al Thani said in a press statement after opening the park that Mohammed Bin Jassim Park is one of the best parks in Umm Salal as it includes a variety of modern and integrated services for the public.
He noted that the park was established in a residential area in order to serve the largest number of nearby families, citizens and residents.
Opening the park comes within the ministry's plans to increase the number of parks and gardens in the State.
Mohammed Bin Jassim Park spreads over an area of 5,988 square metres and provides many services and facilities. The park is characterised by 13 types of perennial plants and trees, and a variety of seasonal flowers. (TNN)
