Tribune News NetworkDohaThe Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with Qatar’s SPAR dealership, has announced the recall of SPAR Belgian ‘spread-up’ Choco-Hazelnut spread, produced on February 28, 2022, as the factory discovered the remnants of almond nuts in the product, that cause allergies in some people.The ministry said the recall campaign aims to ensure immediate stoppage of using the product and returning it temporarily to the vendor, stressing that it will follow up on the complete withdrawal of the contaminated product from all selling ports across the country.The ministry said it would coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the recall campaign and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary actions are carried out. The ministry has urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquiries and suggestions.
