Qatar Chamber Chairman HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani recently opened the Al Jabor Trading Showroom, which features many international brands from Germany, Britain, Turkey, Italy and Spain for tools and products related to construction, building equipment, and residential and hotel projects.

The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Nawaf bin Jabor Al Thani, Sheikh Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani and Sheikh Ahmed bin Jabor Al Thani, as well as a crowd of businessmen, dignitaries, and representatives of a number of leading companies specialised in building materials.

Following the inauguration, Sheikh Khalifa toured the showroom and was briefed on its products and international brands.

Commenting on the showroom opening, Sheikh Khalifa said that the Qatari market has become an attractive market for many international brands, pointing out that the opening of this showroom confirms the confidence of investors in the Qatari market and their eagerness to expand their business in the local market.

HE stressed the chamber’s keenness to support the Qatari private sector and encourage bringing companies and investments to the local market, indicating that the construction sector in Qatar is one of the promising sectors that witnessed great growth in the past years and is expected to continue its growth, especially with the economic expansion that the country is currentlywitnessing.

For his part, Sheikh Nawaf bin Jabor Al Thani said that the new showroom will meet the increasing demand for building materials, especially with the increase in construction projects, pointing out that the company has brought many international commercial agencies from Germany, Britain, Turkey, Spain, USA, France, Italy, and others, in line with the great development witnessed by the construction market in Qatar.

He said that Al Jabor Trading was founded in the 1960s, indicating that its portfolio includes 5 main sectors: Building Materials, Special Building Materials, Sanitary Wares, Swimming Pools, and Dewatering, noting that the building material market in Qatar is one of the most competitive markets in the region and attracts a lot of investments.
