A delegation from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) on Wednesday visited the Public Prosecution Office as part of its current visit to the country.
During the visit, the UN delegation identified the mechanism for the work of the Narcotics and Cybercrime Prosecutor’s Offices, the Institute of Criminal Studies and training programmes aimed at all officials holding judicial disciplinary status in various ministries and institutions of the state.
The delegation was also briefed on training programmes on human trafficking, money laundering and terrorism financing, aimed at increasing the capacities of the various law enforcement agencies in the country, and the role of the Institute of Criminal Studies in training new prosecutors and working mechanisms within the institute and the future strategy for training in accordance with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
