The Embassy of Guyana in Qatar was opened in Doha on Tuesday.
President of Guyana Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi cut the ribbon to announce the opening of the embassy.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs congratulated Guyana on the opening of the embassy building, hoping that it would constitute a starting point towards progress and push forward relations between the two countries.
Since their inception in 1996, the bilateral relations between the two countries have been witnessing remarkable development in many fields, he noted.
He affirmed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ keenness on providing all possible facilities to further support and strengthen bilateral relations at all levels, especially in the economic, political and cultural fields, in order to attain the
aspirations of the leadership and peoples of the two countries.
