Iconic home furnishings brand, Marina Home, opened its first Qatar showroom at the Mall of Qatar with an opening ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Tawar al Kuwari, Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber, members of the retail industry, developers, interior designers and the media.
"Marina Home is a dynamic private company that has managed to build a name for itself within the region," said Kuwari.
"We are pleased to welcome it in Qatar as Qatar Chamber is fully committed to supporting innovative ventures that serve to enrich the retail industry within the country," he added.
The 2500-metre square showroom follows Marina Home's iconic concept of warehouses and welcomes its guests into a new realm of design, indulgence and individuality where they get to see vintage and modern fuse into an unexpected harmony.
This unique concept has ensured Marina Home's continued success across the eight markets where it operates including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Oman and now Qatar. A growing population coupled with a consistent economic development and a series of current and planned mall openings has supported the retail industry in Qatar. A report published by DTZ in 2016, showed that demand remains strong from retailers looking to enter the Qatari market.
Marina Home's Co-Founder, Khurshid Vakil, said,"The Arab world is historically known for being a global hub of art and culture and Marina Home is the product of that rich heritage, having been established in Dubai in 1997. We are extremely proud to launch our flagship store in Qatar, a market that is continuously evolving and whose consumers are known to proudly support brands that stem from the region."
