Overseas Filipino Investors and Entrepreneurs Movement (OFIEM) held a seminar on ‘Philippine Administrative Procedure on the Transfer of Land Title to the New Owner: Briefing’.
OFIEM officials, members, and interested parties attended the event, which was held recently at the Big Diners Restaurant.
Guest speaker Atty. Daisy Garcia Tingzon discussed the relevant laws governing land registration and transfer of land titles in the Philippines. She also talked about individuals who are eligible to acquire lands in the country and the administrative process in the registration and transfer of title of land to the new landowner.
Furthermore, Atty. Tingzon shared valuable insights on checking and verifying land ownership in the Philippines. She also discussed the rules of preference in cases of double sale of real property.
OFIEM promotes financial literacy to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), particularly in Filipino investment and entrepreneurship. The organisation’s Qatar Chapter, headed by its President Ferlita You Ng, recently paid a courtesy call to the Philippine Ambassador to Qatar HE Lilibeth V. Pono and presented their accomplished and forthcoming projects for the Filipino community in the country.
For those who missed the seminar, the group recommends seeking advice from a lawyer to ensure a smooth transfer of land ownership.
OFIEM - Qatar would like to thank the participants of this event and invite everyone to their next informative and beneficial programs for the OFWs.
