The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) held its annual forum to honour its outstanding staff, directorates, health centres and a group of staff who severed the corporation for more than 25 years and left an indelible mark in PHCC.

The PHCC also honoured committees that have achieved excellence and success in the work assigned to them, as well as staff working at its health centres and directorates who displayed an outstanding performance in 2022, in the presence of Dr Mariam Ali Abdul Malik, Managing Director (MD) of PHCC, and several leaders and staff of the corporation. The event aimed to recognise their work and efforts that have had a significant impact on the quality and improvement of PHCC services.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Abdul Malik delivered a speech in which she emphasized PHCC’s keenness, through this annual ceremony, to spread awareness of the concepts of outstanding performance, creativity, and quality. She also highlighted PHCC’s aim to promote a culture of excellence. "The event is part of our culture to express PHCC’s appreciation for the distinguished performance delivered by our staff and to encourage and motivate them to foster a spirit of positive competition among colleagues from different professions. This provides them with a space to be creative and increases their productivity, thereby contributing to the achievement of PHCC’s objectives, mission, and desired aspirations,” she said.

During her speech, she also announced the corporation’s preparations for holding the 5th Global Conference on Primary Health Care, which will be held from November 9 to 12 this year under the theme ‘Primary Care Today: Lessons Learned and Future Action to Achieve Sustainability’. The MD also confirmed that work is in full swing to launch the second strategic plan for PHCC for the next four years, which will define the roadmap to promote healthcare services, improve service access, and enhance the overall well-being of our society. This plan reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and our dedication to meeting the growing needs of Qatar’s population, she added.
