Team Qatar confidently claimed the 2017 Asian Men's Beach Handball Championship title after beating Oman 2-0 in the final match held in Pattaya city of Thailand on Monday.
The Qatari squad included Muhsen al Yafaei, Ahmad Abdulhameed al Menawi, Muatasem Abdulwahed, Amer Denger, Sayed Ali Kenawi, Ahmad Murghan, Anis al Zawawi, Mohammad Ahmad Zaki, Hani Marawan and Ahmad Mohammad Abdulhaq.
Iran finished third after beating Vietnam 2-1 in the third place match. With this result, Qatar, Oman, Iran and Vietnam will represent the Asian Continent in the 2018 World Beach Handball Championships to be staged in Russia.
