Under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the 19th edition of the (Project Qatar) exhibition will kick off at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) on Monday.

Organised by International Exhibitions Company (IFP), the three-day exhibition will provide an ideal platform for active engagement in the expansive construction and building market in the country.The Project Qatar also serves as a prominent platform for business development, offering companies a wide range of opportunities to expand their operations and forge new partnerships.

General Manager of the IFP-Qatar Haider Msheimesh said more than 325 exhibiting companies from 25 different countries will participate in this year’s edition. The event is expected to attract more than 15,000 visitors, with 120 international companies from 25 different countries, eight of which will participate with official national pavilions, in addition to 200 Qatari companies, including major government and semi-government entities, and leading private sector companies."The vast opportunities offered by the Qatari construction market attract stakeholders and interested parties from around the world,” Msheimesh told Qatar Tribune.

"The ‘Project Qatar’ exhibition opens the door for participants to enter this market, engage, build relationships, and establish partnerships that will enhance long-term growth paths starting from the exhibition,” he added.

Mashmoush explained, "The growth of the Qatari construction and building sector can be attributed to the inflow of direct foreign investments, supported by government initiatives within the framework of the ‘Qatar National Vision 2030’, which outlines the roadmap for the country’s strategic development and the establishment of a diversified and sustainable economy with reduced dependence on oil.”

He further emphasized, "We look confidently at the role that the exhibition will play in stimulating exhibitors in the sector to enhance their efforts and share best practices and sustainable solutions to support the economic development of the country.”

He highlighted that the Qatari construction and building sector provides tremendous opportunities, especially within the framework of the ‘Qatar National Vision 2030’, which serves as the strategic growth plan of the Qatari government, aiming to transform Qatar into a diversified economy based on self-sufficiency and reduced reliance on oil.”

He expected the 19th edition of "Project Qatar” to play an important role in achieving Qatar’s vision by showcasing the region’s products and materials and highlighting the importance of the Qatari construction and building sector for the national economy.

"Through government support, the event offers numerous opportunities for national and foreign contracting companies to expand in the Qatari market and contribute to increasing the flow of foreign direct investments into Qatar,” he added.

"We look forward to welcoming visitors and meeting top exhibitors from around the world who will present advanced solutions for the construction and building sector in the region,” he commented.

Reports indicate that the Qatari construction and building sector is expected to grow by 2.3 percent this year and at an average rate of 3.6 percent between 2023 and 2026, thanks to investments aligned with the Qatar National Vision 2030.

Furthermore, the Qatari government approved new law regulating partnerships between the public and private sectors, which is expected to attract more foreign direct investments to the country. These factors support the anticipated continuous growth of the construction sector in Qatar, aligned with the development targets the country aims to achieve by 2030.

In addition to the participation of international and Qatari companies, the 19th edition of the "Project Qatar” exhibition features several dedicated areas and highlights to cater to the evolving needs of the Qatari market and its customers.
