HBK Contracting Company, which was established in the year 1970 to undertake civil construction projects in Qatar, is taking part in the ongoing Project Qatar with a number of innovative products and services.
Making its contribution to the economic progress of the country, HBK Contracting Company is involved in the construction and maintenance of contracting services for public, and industrial buildings, stadiums, hospitals, high-rise towers, transmission, pumping stations, roads, bridges, infrastructure projects, and general civil engineering works in Qatar.
Talking about the company’s participation in this year’s edition of Project Qatar, HBK Engineering Services CEO Iltaf Rabbani said, “Our participation in Project Qatar this year comes after a huge event, the FIFA World Cup. We are participating in this exhibition with a number of our group companies mainly the factories and contracting partners of HBK.”
“Of course, HBK has many subsidiaries in many divisions. But our focus now is on the industrial sector of HBK which is I would say something like 12 brands located in industrial areas. So, we are covering the full range of products. Our message at HBK is that we can do any project from A to Z. Our motto is Everything is possible, everything under one roof, he said.
After delivering mega projects like two stadiums including the Lusail stadium for the FIFA World Cup, Rabbani said, “We consider ourselves successful in achieving these mega projects and now we are looking for giga projects.”
Talking about the company’s participation in the exhibition, he said, “We participated in this exhibition before COVID-19. We had a very good experience that’s
why we are here again. We are participating in this edition with a number of innovative products and services.”
“One of the most innovative services that we are offering this year is airport automation system, where the whole thing will be completely automatic,” he said.
After the FIFA World Cup, he said, “There is a big demand for outdoor furniture in Qatar. As the environment in Qatar is very challenging for furniture, we have developed a mix of furniture using ultra-high-performance concrete, treated wooden material as the normal material cannot resist high temperatures. So, now, we are coming up with solutions to be used in the outdoor environment.”
Hailing Project Qatar as one of the best platforms to display new products and services and to get in touch with new clients, he said, “We have been receiving very good responses from visitors and industry officials since the beginning of the exhibition. We have also forged many partnerships during the exhibition.”
