Time flies when you’re having fun, and most definitely when you’re rocking with SoUnDz of Era Band!
With their numerous full-house gigs and jam-packed shows, this band needs no further introduction. Playing through an eclectic mix of music genres from different eras, as the group is aptly called, the all-Filipino live band celebrates its 10th year in the Qatar music scene.
With the band’s manager Arc. Migi Garcia, who has fostered the group’s career growth and has been its pillar through the years, SoUnDz of Era Band marks its legacy as one of the most renowned Filipino bands in Qatar, performing remarkable hits that resonate with music connoisseurs — Filipinos and other expatriates alike.
A multi-talented group of
Filipino artists
SoUnDz of Era currently consists of Filipino artists — Lovely Amor Alamag (pioneer female vocalist and one of the band founders), Vanessa Casador (female vocalist), Darrel Delos Reyes (male vocalist), Philipp Bok Baluyot (one of the band’s founders, band leader and lead guitarist), Josh Almanon (drummer), Renz Sayson (bassist), Cris Baydon (lead guitarist) — have been rocking clubs across Qatar with pumped-up live performances, ranging from classic to modern/contemporary groove music.
Driven with a fervent passion for music, the band was formed by talented Doha-based Filipino musicians in 2013 with humble beginnings. Fast forward to today, the group continues to make waves in the music industry, whilst entertaining their fellow Overseas Filipino Workers through music as their way to cope with homesickness from working abroad.
Ms. Lovely Amor, a successful Filipina businesswoman in Qatar, has been the band’s frontrunner and Doha’s hottest-rising Filipina musical artist with her undisputed singing prowess. Her husband, Benedict Alamag, who’s also the proprietor of Eve Events, one of the pioneers in Qatar specialising in event planning and AV equipment service providers from company events to big concerts, has also been supporting all of the band’s projects.
Ms. Vanessa is well-known in the community for her recent stint as the lead actress in the Eventologist movie that was screened in Philippine and Qatar cinemas.
SoUnDz of Era has commended its former band members including Cecilia ‘Che-Che’ MagbatoMagbato, Kristina ‘Krissy’ Vannelyn Voluntad, Nadine Caylo, and Jessiel Leonidas who played significant roles in its success.
The band also appreciated ChitoKrasBand, Infinite Band, Kuya Akustik, Peter Paul Casaclang, and Dexter De Lara Tumang, who have been supporting them over the years.
