The four-day exhibition, held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, was officially inaugurated by the Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani.

Around 325 exhibiting companies, including 120 international firms from 25 countries participated in the expo. Eight of these countries had national pavilions while 200 participating companies were local, representing government and semi-government agencies as well as the most prominent private sector entities.

The opening ceremony attracted global attention with the presence of more than 30 ambassadors from participating countries and numerous international trade delegations visiting the exhibition.

The platform allowed Pakistani business houses to showcase their products and explore business opportunities in the dynamic Qatari market.

The embassy highlighted renowned Pakistani brands that are already being imported into Qatar including Brighto Paints, Al-Ghani Glass, GFC fans, working gloves, safety coveralls, and Maple Leaf cement.

To ensure a successful display and engagement with potential buyers, the embassy collaborated with Unique Trading Company, a leading distribution company of Pakistani products in Qatar. The partnership attracted a large and discerning audience to the stall.

Additionally, M/s Hilton Enterprises, a prominent supplier of working gloves and uniforms from Faisalabad, Pakistan, also exhibited their high-quality products at Project Qatar.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Qatar HE Dr Muhemmed Aejaz visited the exhibition and engaged with the local business community, expressing admiration for their efforts in promoting Pakistani products in the Qatari market.

The Pakistani pavilion at the venue garnered significant attention throughout the exhibition, with visitors expressing keen interest and making inquiries about the showcased products.

Ms Serein Asad, Trade and Investment Attaché at the Pakistan Embassy, alongside Imran Rafique, general manager of Unique Trading, and Ghulam Rabbani, managing director of Al Rukai Trading and Contracting, played an important role in assisting customers and providing valuable insights.

“The ambassador’s presence highlighted the mission’s commitment to fostering stronger trade ties and exploring new avenues of cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar,” remarked Ms Serein Asad.

The Project Qatar exhibition attracted Pakistani businessmen seeking opportunities in Qatar’s thriving construction sector. Shoiab Mir, CEO of Diamond Paints, attended the exhibition to understand market needs and leverage the growing demand for building materials in Qatar.

The exhibition served as a dynamic launch pad for fostering mutually beneficial business relationships and driving economic growth for both countries. The Pakistani pavilion received appreciation from notable Pakistani community leaders who visited Project Qatar. They lauded the embassy’s dedication to promoting Pakistani brands and strengthening trade relations between the two countries.
