Al Faleh Educational Holding QPSC celebrated the graduation of the Year 12 students of Doha Academy’s Class of 2023, on June 17.

Graduation Day marks the culmination of the student’s hard work in the British system at Doha Academy. Prior to the ceremony, the students completed their A Level examinations, showcasing their commitment and success as members of the vibrant and purposeful community at Doha Academy.

During the Graduation Ceremony, students were joined by their families, friends and classmates. It served as a fitting occasion to recognise the end of this remarkable chapter in their lives as they prepare to become future global leaders in their respective fields.

The ceremony included a student march, speeches from guest speakers, a recitation of the Holy Quran, the presentation of diplomas, and the official declaration of the graduates. Edward Cooper, principal of Doha Academy Schools; Shane Foley, deputy principal of Doha Academy Schools; David Mate, head of Secondary; Jeanette Azouz, head of Secondary Girls; as well as the academic staff of DA schools, parents, and friends, were in attendance. A significant portion of the ceremony was dedicated to the distribution of certificates to all students, including those who received recognition for their achievements in specialised subjects. It was a proud moment for both the students and their parents.

David Mate delivered a heartfelt message, congratulating the students on their remarkable accomplishments. He encouraged them to cherish this moment and emphasised that they are at a unique stage in life, full of possibilities and excitement. “Enjoy yourselves! It’s probably one of the most exhilarating times of your life; a time to say goodbye to yesterday and a time to meet tomorrow with courage, and a time to celebrate all that you are and all that you may become,” he said, wishing the students the very best for their future endeavours.

Edward Cooper advised the students to take charge of their lives, making responsible decisions and learning from them. He expressed his gratitude to the students and wished them a remarkable future. The graduation ceremony provided an opportunity to celebrate the incredible achievements of the students, recognising each and every one of them. While it marked the culmination of their hard work, it also signalled the beginning of their new journey into higher education or the workforce. He extended his best wishes for their future success.
