Doha English Speaking School (DESS) held the first of a planned annual 'Celebration of Success' event recently. The celebration was held to recognise children who demonstrated an outstanding attitude towards learning throughout the academic year.
Awards were presented to children in Key Stage 2 (aged 7-11) for subjects including Arabic, Art & Design, Computing, English, French, Humanities, Mathematics, Science and Sports. Distinguished guests attended the event including British Ambassador to Qatar HE Ajay Sharma.
Headteacher Sean Sibley said, ''It is always important to celebrate the successes of children many curriculum. The children and the staff at DESS work extremely hard with learning and teaching. I would like to thank the guest presenters, the parents, the staff, the governors; and most importantly, the children for such an enjoyable evening."
