Tribune News NetworkDohaDoha resident Priyanka Bajaj Sibal has been named the winner of Mrs India Queen of Substance competition for 2021, a beauty pageant for married Indian women.Bollywood Actress Mahima Chaudhary crowned Sibal, who became the first Indian in Qatar to win a national-level pageant.Sibal is a Chartered Accountant and is working with the finance department of a reputed American University in Qatar. The Grand Finale of Mrs India was a star-studded affair and was hosted by Indian television anchor and actor Aman Verma. The Mrs India jury panel was comprised of Mahima Chaudhary, philanthropist, entrepreneur and Mrs India Queen of Substance founder Ritika Vinay, and Indian actress and model Anshu Varshney among others.In the final round of the Grand Finale, Sibal was asked what would be her choice if got an opportunity to choose a gender for herself in the next birth. “I respect the genders of [male and female] but if given a chance I would love to be a woman, who is a beautiful creation of God. There is nothing more beautiful than a woman because she creates, she nurtures, she motivates, she inspires. She is a true inspiration for so many. God has given woman so many powers. If given a chance I would love to be a woman, in all my births.”In a social media post shared after her big win, Mrs Sibal said, "A dream does not become reality on its own, it takes hard work, sweat, determination, sleepless nights, sacrifices, blessings and much more. It all pays off !!” while celebrating her victory and expressing gratitude to her mentors and support system while sharing a few snippets from the crowning ceremony and after.In her post, Sibal thanked pageant organisers Ritika Vinay and Vinay Yadawa, founders of the beauty pageant, for providing married women of India with a platform to make an impact. She also shared a note of thanks for her mentors for Grooming (Cocoaberry Talent), Fitness (Hobb Fitness), National Costume Designer (Melvyn Noronha), Choreography (Bhavna Naik), Make Up (Aman Academy) and Diction (Sabeera Mechant) and finally, her family. She had a special mention of her husband Siddharth Sibal who has been a backbone for her during this entire journey. Priyanka had moved to Doha after her marriage with Siddharth, who is currently working in Accenture Qatar as a Senior Director.Besides the main title, Priyanka also won the 'Mrs Photogenic’ title as well as the ‘Mrs Traditional Costume’ award for her spectacular portrayal of Indian tradition and culture. Her performance in the Talent Round was also exceptional, she performed on a choreography done by the Qatar based very talented Bhawna Sharma Naik, and lyrics written by Priyanka’s sister Meeta Bhardwaj and sung in Priyanka’s own voice. Priyanka was also applauded for her performance in the fitness round.Her introduction round was spectacular where she highlighted “Ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they believe in themselves. While pursuing my CA, I failed numerous times; but kept at it like a spider at its web —and I did it !! Emancipation for me is through dance, as it gives me the freedom to express myself with exquisite elegance. Dream. Focus. And I want to inspire each and every woman to do so. ”As many as 28 contestants from many countries as well as different states of India were in the final for the Mrs India Queen of Substance competition.
