No alcohol for spectators at Paris Olympics: Report

No alcohol is to be served to spectators at the venues of the 2024 Olympics in Paris, the Le Parisien newspaper reported on Monday. According to the report, organizers made the decision based on an alcohol ban in sports facilities that has been in force in France since 1991. At the previous Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021, no alcohol was served due to drastic coronavirus restrictions. (DPA)
