Asia’s Phoenix Morissette Amon is bound for Qatar this month for her live concert — back-to-back with the grand screening of the Eventologist movie, and the guest performance of Doha-based Filipino SoUnDz of Era band on July 28 at Al Gharafa Sports Club Indoor Stadium.
Having confidence in the Filipino entertainment market in Qatar after the recent Philippine Independence Day celebrations, which ended on a high note — Eve Events, in collaboration with Advocacy Global Studios, recently announced the launching of an extraordinary concert titled, ‘Morissette Live in Qatar’.
A multi-awarded singer from the Philippines, Morissette is known for her powerful voice and whistle. The sold-out concert queen has also received standing ovations in her local and international shows. This is why she is one of the most awaited artists to perform in Doha.
The concert producers said they’re thrilled to present this first-of-a-kind show that promises to wow everyone with must-watch performances of Filipina singer Morissette, the blockbuster film The Eventologist starring JC Santos, Vanessa Casador and all-Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) cast, as well as the multi-talented SoUnDz of Era band.
“This is a pioneer 3-in-1 event wherein an international movie screening, a globally themed singing contest, and a well-sought concert shall be held in one show under one family-friendly ticket price,” said Joseph Timothy Rivera, head of Publicity, who also happens to be one of the line producers of The Eventologist movie.
The ‘Hamon ng Mundo’ singing competition will also be staged and more special performances await the concertgoers.
Rivera added that the support of both the local media and the Filipino business community for this event has been overwhelming. This was evident during the recently held press conference at Bos Geo Pares Restaurant as it hosted a jampacked media conference.
The press conference panel consisted of the concert’s Production Executive & Head Organiser Vanessa Casador, Production Consultant Eng. Jose Gie Sinaon, John Henry Alamag of Eve Events and Head of Publicity Joseph Timothy Rivera. Also present during the event was Jeanet Gotangogan, Marketing Director of UNO Café, the concert’s first major sponsor.
Cassador, who also happens to be the leading lady in The Eventologist movie, expressed great excitement about the programme being well-prepared way advanced, promising the Filipino audience in Doha almost a full day of excitement beyond exemplary entertainment.
She further explained the unique aspects of the said event as Morissette will be arriving one day before the concert’s big day. This will allow a more relaxed timeline after the grand show, contrary to the official itinerary traditionally held before the main production date. In fact, her meet and greet schedule with fans is slated on July 29, after the concert.
Eve Events, being the appointed management partner and not just a license provider of the concert, is delighted to be a part of this prestigious production. This all-in-one event and artist management, guarantees no less than the best concert set-up, as the standard of the company’s proven track record in major events.
For his part, Eve Event’s John Henry Alamag said, “We are happy to be part of this project and look forward to exhibiting our latest cutting-edge technology to give our audience an exhilarating experience.”
The concert’s production consultant Eng. Jose Gie Sinaon also exclaimed that the business mechanics of the event has been meticulously designed to be commercially feasible not only for the sponsors but for all stakeholders as well.
“We are very happy with the initial sponsors and advertisers who are now with us. We are more overwhelmed with the pledges and not just inquiries for collaboration with many other parties” Sinaon added.
UNO Café’s Jeanette Gotangogan being one of the major sponsors has likewise expressed confidence in the event’s success knowing that the team behind this production is known to be professional, efficient and reliable.
Morissette Live in Qatar is produced by EV Lacorte & Partners, powered by Eve Events, and supported by Major sponsors UNO Café, Bos Geo Pares and Kabayan Meatshop, and Affiliate Sponsors SMDC & AFREEQ.
The concert is open to the public. Doors open at 1pm, film screening starts at 4pm and the show begins at 7pm. Tickets are available online via q-tickets.
