Singh Seva Group, an organisation affiliated with the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) which functions under the aegis of the Indian Embassy, held a blood donation campaign for Indian community members, at Hamad Blood Donor Centre.

Held in collaboration with Bhagwan Valmiki Trust, the initiative provided an opportunity for people to participate in the selfless act of donating blood, and contribute to making a positive impact on the community.

Dharambal Singh, president of Singh Seva Group, and Sarabjeet Singh, president of Bhagwan Valmiki Trust, said the event sought to raise awareness of the importance of blood donation and acknowledge donors for the life-saving act. They thanked the 250-plus donors who came forward for the noble cause.

ICBF Vice President Deepak Shetty, who was the chief guest on the occasion, appreciated Singh Seva Group for undertaking the generous initiative for the second time this year, emphasizing the remarkable response it received from the community.

ICBF General Secretary KV Boban, who was the guest of honour, added: "Donating blood is one of the easiest and simplest ways to boost community well-being, support our health system, and engage in something that can be potentially lifesaving for people critically in need.”

The other distinguished guests included ICBF Treasurer Kuldeep Kaur Bahl, Head of Labour Kulwinder Singh Honey, Head of Insurance Raoof Kondotty, Head of fisherman welfare, Shanker Goud , Shashidhar Hebbal , Ramaselvam Sundaram, TSA President Sridhar Abbagouni, HS Bhullar, Siddik Valappil and Navin Bahl.
