Al Sadd Club have announced the appointment of Portuguese coach Bruno Miguel Pinheiro as the coach of their first team succeeding Spaniard Juan Manuel Lillo ‘Juanma’, who desired to be relieved due to urgent personal circumstances and which was approved by the club management.
Miguel coachbegan his duties with the first team on Wednesday at the team’s overseas outdoor camp which is currently being held in Austria in preparation for the new season 2023-2024.
Al Sadd continued preparations at the camp through technical & physical training and friendly matches, where the team has played two matches so far. Al Sadd first won their first friendly against Austrian team SVG Reichenau 4-0 while they lost the second game to Azerbaijani Sabah team 3-1.

In preparation for the new football season and the start of the 2023-2024 league championship, Al Rayyan are continuing to strengthen their ranks with many distinguished players and strong signings both at the local and foreign professionals level.
Al Rayyan ‘The Lions’ announced the signing of Bassam Al Rawi for one season from Al Duhail Club on loan to bolster their defence with a player who has big international experience with the national team.
Al Rawi recently participated with Al Anabi in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in the USA and contributed to the team’s qualification for the quarter-finals.
A few days ago, Al Rayyan also included four local players: midfielder Adel Badr, defenders Ali Jasmi and Ahmed Al Menhali, and goalkeeper Fahd Al Qasimi.
Al Rayyan’s daily training continues under the technical leadership of their Portuguese coach Leonardo Jardim, before the team travels to Austria for an overseas tour to be held from July 17 to August 7.
Muaither continue to strengthen ranks before overseas camp in Turkiye
Muaither Club are continuing preparations ahead of the new football season 2023-2024 and preparing for the league championship in earnest.
The club is also signing up players - both foreign and local professionals before the team leaves for an overseas camp to be held in Izmit, Turkey, from July 18 to August 8.
The camp in Turkey will include technical and physical training as well as a number of friendly matches.
Muaither Club has announced the signing of a number of new players and they are: Uruguayan defender Ramon Arias from Turkish club Giresunspor, goalkeeper Ivanildo Rodrigues from Al Ahli club, Abdelghani Mounir from Al Wakrah Club, and 21-year-old Algerian Nassim Benaissa from French club Chateauroux.
The team’s technical and administrative staff is working to complete all files within the current stage before entering the new season, during which the side is looking forward to a strong return.
The coaching staff, led by Spanish coach Jose Murcia and his assistants, is also working on developing a full training program for the team for the overseas training camp.
