DOHA: His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune held an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan on Sunday.
At the outset of the session, HH the Amir welcomed the Algerian president and the accompanying delegation, wishing them a good stay and looking forward to further developing brotherly relations in various fields to achieve the aspirations and interests of the two people.
The Algerian president thanked HH the Amir for the excellent reception and generous hospitality, hoping the visit would enhance cooperation and fraternal relations between Qatar and Algeria.
During the session, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields, especially economy, trade, industry, energy, and technology. The talks also touched on key regional and international issues.
The session was attended by Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, Minister of Communications and Information Technology HE Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammed Al Mannai, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, and several senior officials.
On the Algerian side, the session was attended by Minister Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Finance Laaziz Fayed, Minister of Energy and Mining Mohamed Arkab, Minister of Post and Telecommunications Karim Bibi Triki, Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry Ali Aoun, Minister of Trade and Export Promotion Tayeb Zitouni, Minister of Public Works, Hydraulics and Basic Infrastructures Lakhdar Rakhroukh, Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and the City Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises Yacine El-Mahdi Oualid, and several senior officials.
Afterwards, HH the Amir and the Algerian president held a bilateral meeting, where they exchanged views on many issues of common concern, particularly developments in the region.
On this occasion, HH the Amir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Algerian president and his accompanying delegation.
