DOHA: There will not be any respite as temperatures in Qatar will rise further, theQatar Meteorology Department stated on Monday.

"Thecountry is witnessing a gradual rise in temperatures from today (Monday)until the end of the week," the Met stated, adding that the maximum temperature would range between 43-47 °C and would reach between 47-49 °C on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Met also said until 6am on Tuesday it will be hazy at times and warned of poor horizontal visibility at places.

Health authorities have advised people, especially those working outdoors, to take precautions to avoid dehydration and other heat-related illnesses.
