The new Executive Committee of Galfar Toastmasters was installed during the club’s 261st meeting at the Galfar Toastmasters’ Hall in Al Hilal, Doha, recently. DTM Sherwin Olimpo, Division A director, was the installation officer.

The newly appointed office-bearers pledged to fulfill their respective roles as ExCom members and contribute to the success of the club.

The new office-bearers are Subramanya Hebbagelu (president), Faisudheen Kannoth (vice-president, Education), Md Arshad Jamal (vice-president, Membership), Abhijith Shankar (vice-president, PR), Alfonso Belito C Betita (secretary), Shuhaib Mukkoli (treasurer) and Kutubuddin Mollah (Sgt.-At-Arms).

These officers will lead Galfar Toastmasters Club, known as one of the most successful corporate Toastmasters clubs in Qatar, for the term 2023-2024.

In his inaugural speech, President Subramanya Hebbagelu exhorted each officer and member to actively contribute to the club’s growth by attracting new members and enhancing the quality of regular meetings. He also explained his decision to accept the position, despite having previously served as club president during the pandemic year of 2020-2021.

Founded in 2009, Galfar Toastmasters Club serves as a platform for leadership and communication development within Galfar Al Misnad Engineering and Contracting Company WLL. It is a well-supported club with financial backing from the company and its membership exclusively comprising company employees. Over the years, the club has gained recognition in the Toastmasters community, and some of its members have assumed prominent roles within District 116.
