Customs officials at the Hamad International Airport seized 30 kilograms of prohibited tobacco from a passenger's bag on Wednesday, two days after a similar seizure.
The contraband has been handed over to authorities concerned and a seizure report issued, the General Authority of Customs said in a tweet on Thursday.
On Monday, suspicion of a customs inspector at the Hamad International Airport had led to the seizure of a huge haul of illicit tobacco from a passenger's bag.
In a tweet published on Monday, the General Authority of Customs shared a photograph of the seized contraband, which it said weighed 26.95 kilograms.
