The visit of the President of the sisterly Republic of Turkiye HE Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Qatar on Tuesday drew the attention of the Turkish newspapers, which dedicated large spaces to it on their front pages, and to the talks that the Turkish president had with His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, which they described as significant.

Yeni Safak daily newspaper published on its front page, "Erdogan’s visit occupies a wide space in the Qatari media,” and said that the visit is an important new stage in the relations between Turkiye and Qatar and that it will constitute a new start in bilateral relations between the two countries.

Under the title "50 years of Turkish-Qatari relations crowned with a promising future vision,” the widely circulated Sabah newspaper said that Turkish-Qatari relations witnessed great momentum during that period, as it aimed to strengthen relations in all fields and push them forward. From this concept and shared will, a common vision has been reached in several political and economic issues.

The newspaper mentioned in the article that Turkiye and Qatar celebrated 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries by announcing a joint statement that includes a promising future vision to further strengthen economic and trade relations to serve the interests of the two countries and the two fraternal peoples. Ulke TV news channel presented a detailed report on the visit in its morning bulletin, in which it stated that the prominent fact of Erdogan’s visit to Qatar is that it will contribute to strengthening the relationship between the two countries, supporting the relations of cooperation between the governments of the two countries, and deepening the fraternal ties between the Turkish and Qatari peoples.

The news channel stressed that Erdogan’s visit to Qatar comes at an appropriate time, indicating that it is of the utmost importance in this delicate circumstance the region is going through.

In the same context, Turkish media professionals welcomed the visit of HE President of the sisterly Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Qatar, stressing the political and economic importance that Qatar enjoys at all levels.

In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Editor-in-Chief of Ulke TV Hasan Ozturk described the visit of the Turkish President as significant, saying that several Qatari officials visited Turkiye in 2022 and Erdogan’s visit to Qatar indicates that the bilateral relations between the two countries have reached a very high stage, which is already witnessing remarkable development.

He added that he believes that the outcomes of the visit would be important due to its timing, saying that he believes it would open the door for the flow of Qatari investments to Turkiye in light of the political stability that Turkiye is going through at present.

The Turkish newspapers unanimously agreed on the strength of the relations between the two countries, which will witness a quantum leap and a great recovery at all levels and will benefit all countries in the region.
