DOHA: Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW), an affiliate of the Ministry of Social Development and Family, has launched a media campaign on social media platforms to promote family relationships and communication during the summer season.

The campaign comes within the framework of QFSW's efforts aimed at promoting awareness of the importance of family relationships and deepening social bonds, QFSW said in a statement on Saturday, adding that the campaign highlights the role played by its centres in providing a package of a wide range of programs and summer activities that fulfil the needs of all Qatari families and residents.

It also aims to encourage the relatives to share experiences, along with innovative and spectacular recreational and cultural activities that open new horizons for children and youngsters, increase reaction among family members and reflect the QFSW's keenness to promote social culture among the Qatari community's individuals through spreading awareness on the importance of summer activities in building children's character and developing their skills and abilities in the future.

Commenting on the importance of the campaign, Director of Communications at QFSW Noor Al Mohannadi pointed out that the campaign is a vital step in the context of QFSW's efforts to promote family cohesion and social bonds in the Qatari community, hoping that the various summer activities offered by a substantial number of centres and professional entities will primarily enhance communication among family individuals and bolster their ties.

QFSW looks forward to encouraging the engagement of more families in a variety of cultural, recreational and sports experiences through raising awareness and education on the importance of these affirmative practices on individuals, families and the entire community, Al Mohannadi said, adding that the centres affiliated with QFSW seek to design a set of programmes that best suit individuals and families needs, as well as curb future challenges that might face children, young people, women, persons with disability, blind and elders.

Cooperation with state, public and private entities is extremely important to achieve social objectives, she pointed out, adding that QFSW aspires to achieve productive cooperation in the upcoming period to promote the life quality of all families.
