QATAR Museums (QM) has announced that it will offer a limited-edition culture pass portraying the 'Tamim Al Majd' image to members of the community interested in signing up to its popular cultural engagement programme.
The programme was recently restructured to include four new membership packages, designed to offer members a variety of discounts and access to QM institutions.
The limited run of 500 specially-designed 'Tamim Al Majd' branded culture passes will be available at the QM gift shop at the Museum of Islamic Art and the Doha Fire Station from July 16, 2017, until supplies last.
'Tamim Al Majd' was first created by contemporary Qatari artist Ahmed bin Majed al Maadheed, who recently hosted a pop-up exhibition of his artworks at the Doha Fire Station.
Under the visionary guidance of its chairperson, HE Sheikha al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani, the culture pass programme offers almost 16,000 members with access to cultural activities.
Members receive a vast range of benefits from QM and its partners, including access to workshops that develop creative skills and explore exhibition-related themes; dedicated newsletters with all the latest activities taking place in Qatar and abroad in the arts and culture scene; invitations to attend exclusive exhibition openings; private tours of galleries and discounts of up to 15% - 25% at QM cafes, gift shops and selected sites; access to members-only lounges and QM's world-class call center from 8am to 8pm daily for any inquiries.
The culture pass programme has been restructured to include four tiers, three of which are paid for and one of which remains free to the public. The new tiers include: 'Culture Pass', 'Culture Pass Plus and Culture Pass Plus Family', 'Culture Pass Academic' and 'Culture Pass Creative'.
The addition of the new tiers allows everyone to enjoy QM and its offerings in a way that best meets their needs and interests, offering different access and discounts that are designed to suit specific audience groups from families to the academic community. (TNN)
