THE sixth batch of Turkish troops arrived in Qatar, the Directorate of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defence has announced. The Directorate said that following the arrival of the reinforcing batch and its joining the Turkish forces currently in Doha, the troops started their joint tasks with the Qatari armed forces as part of the military cooperation between Qatar and Turkey. The defence cooperation between Doha and Ankara comes within the framework of the joint defence vision to support efforts to combat terrorism and extremism and to maintain security and stability in the region. The Turkish armed forces have been carrying out their training missions since their first arrival in Doha on June 19. (QNA)
