The Al-Khozama programme, organised by the Qatar Charity Centre for Community Development’s Al Khor branch for girls, witnessed a wide turnout and received praise from parents who emphasised its importance.

The programme targeted girls aged 8-17 years, and 35 girls from Al Khor and the northern regions participated in it. The programme aimed to develop leadership skills and personality in the participants while enhancing their manual skills in making necessary products.

The programme was supervised by Qatari female trainers from various fields, who stressed the importance of attracting Qatari competencies to supervise and train girls, teaching them various manual and life skills. The courses, workshops and the centre met all the requirements of the participants and the trainers.

Hessa Lahdan Al Muhannadi, one of the trainers, thanked Qatar Charity (QC) for its efforts in enriching sports activities with meaningful programmes that serve individuals, society and the state. She said,

“I was honoured to join as a coach with extensive experience in the sports field, where I achieved part of my vision and goals and was pleased to train different age groups.”

The programme provided various training workshops, including a workshop on the principles of personal leadership, handicrafts and exercise; a workshop on the colours of nature; a workshop on making perfumes, decorating cakes and preparing coffee; a workshop on a journey on board a book; a digital safety workshop; a workshop on colour coordination and painting on acrylic; and a workshop on challenging creators presented by trainer Hanan Al Tiri.

These workshops aimed at developing the creative thinking skills of the participants in a scientific manner, making them capable of facing life. Additionally, a seminar was conducted by Asmaa Al Hammadi.

The parents of the participants welcomed the valuable initiative. Ruqaya Al Fadala thanked QC for organising the summer programme AL-Khuzama. “I encourage all the people of the region to make sure that their sons and daughters participate in the programme,” she said.

Umm Ghalia Al Mohannadi said: “The programme is diverse and integrated, and my daughters are encouraged to attend every day with eagerness to learn about the programme of the next day. She thanked all the contributors to the programme.”
