Best-known for her soulful and powerful voice, Filipina singing sensation Gigi De Lana, hailed as the ‘Biritera’ or the Philippines’ rising diva, will be performing live on September 1, 2023 at Al Gharafa Indoor Hall.
Produced by Royal Sports and Events, “Gigi De Lana and The Gigi Vibes” stars, together with Filipino comedians Lassy and MC, are all set to perform in a concert that promises to be an unforgettable night of music and comedy.
The celebrities will be sharing the stage with the Royal Clashers from the Royal Clash singing talent competition also organised by the same concert producer.
Mary Gidget Orfano dela Llana, known professionally as Gigi De Lana, is a Filipino singer, actress, dancer, and model from Olongapo City, Philippines.
An emerging Filipino artist, Gigi rose to fame after winning the Tawag ng Tanghalan Philippine TV singing competition program and appearing in the variety show It’s Showtime.
She has been trending online for hitting high notes of some Original Pilipino Music (OPM) like “Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita” and “Akin Ka Na Lang.” Her “Angel Baby” and other contemporary love songs have also been creating a social media buzz, making her the viral queen of pop.
Barely a couple of months after its successful“The Song Bird live in Doha” concert that featured Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and her husband OPM legend Ogie Alcasid, Royal Sports and Events brings this another exciting concert for the Filipino community.
The company has been known for producing comedy-concert shows to provide a high-level of entertainment to the Filipino expatriates in Qatar.
Recently, it has produced the renowned Filipina singer Moira dela Torre’s concert in Doha, who performed with her live band, Filipino-American star Kyle Echarri, and stand-up comedians Norman “Boobay” Balbuena and Gil “Ate Guy” Morales. Other Philippine celebrities Derreck Monasterio and Ken Chan also visited Doha for the Royal Clash shows organised by this event management agency every season.
This time, Gigi’s concert in Doha is expected to draw more concert goers as her unique renditions of Whitney Houston and OPM hits are highly anticipated by her Filipino fans worldwide.
The event is open to the public with doors opening at 5PM and show starting at 7PM. Tickets are available online via Q-Tickets. They are now offered at a 20% discount until August 31.
