GENERAL Manager of the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al Sulaiti met the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Qatar HE Ajay Sharma in Doha on Sunday.
The meeting aimed to enhance cultural ties between both countries by promoting cooperation among cultural entities.
During the visit, the British ambassador presented a proposal to host an event that showcases the British culture in November. Dr Sulaiti welcomed the proposal, saying Katara is keen on providing an authentic platform to showcase international art forms from different parts of the world. This stems from Katara's keenness to build communication bridges between people from all walks of life that shed light on various cultures and traditions, he added.
The British ambassador appreciated Katara for its facilities, architecture and services. At the end of the meeting, Dr Sulaiti presented the ambassador with a souvenir.
