His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Sunday attended the closing ceremony of Formula 1 Ooredoo Qatar Grand Prix, the 20th round of the 2021 world championship, organized by Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation from Nov. 19-21 at Losail International Circuit.
The race was attended by HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, HH Personal Representative of HH the Amir, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, and HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The race was also attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, and a number of sheikhs and ministers, President and Chief Executive Officer at Formula 1 Stefano Domenicali, President of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) John Todd, President of FIFA Gianni Infantino, a number of heads of federations, members of diplomatic missions accredited to the country and guests of the championship.
The PM crowned the winners of the race Briton Lewis Hamilton, the Mercedes team driver, who secured first place, beating Dutch Max Verstappen, the Red Bull team driver, who finished second, and Spaniard Fernando Alonso, the Alpine team driver, who finished third.
