Tribune News NetworkDOHARaytheon Doha, a Raytheon Technologies subsidiary, has announced the appointment of Leslie W. Bonde, Jr. as managing director. Bonde brings decades of leadership experience in the aerospace and defence industry to his new role where he will be in charge of developing integrated cross-business and systems-level solutions for Raytheon Doha, as well as enhance local capability and skills in systems integration and project management.“Raytheon Doha is committed to being an effective partner in Qatar’s current and future defence, military and civilian needs,” said Bonde. “I am confident that we will continue to address the priorities of Qatar’s air and missile defence capabilities to protect citizens and residents from evolving threats while also aligning with the country’s long-term economic and security ambitions.”Prior to joining Raytheon Doha, Bonde served as general manager of Raytheon in Oman and senior executive for growth and relationships in Bahrain. Bonde also led Raytheon’s Integrated Air & Missile Defence business for Qatar and served as programme director for Oman Ground Based Air Defence System.Bonde was an engineering and acquisitions officer with various leadership assignments with the US Air Force before joining Raytheon. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the US Air Force Academy and MBA from the University of Massachusetts - Lowell.
