QATAR Airways' (QA) persistent Qatarisation efforts have yielded positive results with sizeable increase in the number of Qatari pilots, said Senior Vice-President (Human Resource) at Qatar Airways Nabeela Fakhri.
Fakhri was speaking to Qatar Tribune on the sidelines of 'Al Darb', an event organised by Qatar Airways on Monday to encourage local Qatari students to participate in the National Scholarship Program sponsored by the airline.
"Qatar Airways has come a long way climbing up the ladder of Qatarisation. The airline has groomed local Qatari talents to become a part of our professional team across a wide range of functional areas thus helping in achieving the National Vision laid down by the country's wise leadership," Fakhri said.
"Under the dynamic leadership of Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar al Baker, our organisation has touched new heights. He has become a role model for many young Qataris who aspire to lead the country on the path of development in line with the National Vision," she added.
