DOHA: Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) announced that container volumes moving through Qatari ports increased by approximately 19 percent during August 2023 reaching nearly 119,936 containers compared to last July.
The company's data published on Saturday showed that building and construction materials increased by 31 percent reaching 46,075 tonnes, while livestock shipments witnessed a growth of 215 percent reaching 17,231 heads.
The data showed that cars and equipment witnessed a growth of 30 percent reaching 7,875 units, whilst general and bulk cargo increased by 160,131 tonnes. The number of cruise ships that docked at Mwani during August 2023 reached 249 ships.
