The United Nations, represented by the Office of the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process (UNSCO), in cooperation with the Qatar Committee for Reconstruction of Gaza, Qatar Fund for Development and the World Food Program (WFP), started disbursing Qatari cash assistance for needy families in Gaza Strip.
Disbursement of aid for needy families in Gaza Strip began on Sunday morning, through agents at the distribution centers designated by the United Nations in the governorates of the Strip.
Gaza Chairman of Qatar Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi announced that the committee, in cooperation with Qatar Fund for Development, will start the process of disbursing the December batch of cash aid in the Gaza Strip, starting from Sunday.
Al Emadi indicated that the distribution process will take place through the United Nations and through the distribution centers it identified in the governorates of Gaza Strip, which amounts to more than 300 centres and shops.
