The seventh edition of the Katara International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition (S’hail 2023) kicked off with an impressive turnout. The exhibition features the participation of 190 prominent companies specialising in hunting firearms, falconry equipment, camping supplies and off-road vehicles designed for land and hunting expeditions. These companies represent 17 countries across continents.

Additionally, ministries, government agencies and official entities actively contribute to the event, offering exceptional facilities and top-notch services to enhance the overall experience.

Dr Khaled bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, general manager of Katara and chairman of the Organising Committee of S’hail 2023, expressed his delight at the commencement of the seventh edition of the exhibition. He highlighted its growing significance as a pivotal annual event, cherished by both exhibitors and visitors, including falconers and hunting enthusiasts, as well as those interested in hunting supplies, falcons and land trips.

This year’s S’hail exhibition introduces several notable improvements, including superior organisation, enhanced diversity, elevated quality, innovation, increased representation and participation, and an expanded array of associated cultural and artistic events.

The exhibition attracts visitors from various countries, including the US, South Africa, and other Arab and foreign nations, as well as members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Qatar. They have the opportunity to explore the exhibition sections, participating pavilions, and various products related to weapons and supplies for falconry.

The first day of the exhibition saw a remarkable public turnout from the very moments of its opening. Visitors had the opportunity to tour the pavilions of national, Gulf and foreign companies, where they could explore the latest innovations and products in the world of hunting, including the latest hunting weapons, falconry supplies, camping tools, SUVs, trip equipment, ‘kashtat’ equipment, and an impressive collection of high-quality falcons. These offerings garnered significant interest from the public and exhibition visitors, resulting in high demand for purchases.

The pavilions dedicated to rifles and pistols have been attracting a large number of falconers, hunters and enthusiasts. This demonstrates the increasing appeal of both traditional falconry and advanced hunting equipment in Qatar and the broader region. One notable company, Josons, has established itself as the Middle East agent for Beretta, a renowned firearms manufacturer known for its longstanding commitment to quality and performance.
