DOHA: The Minister of Environment and Climate Change HE Dr Falah bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani affirmed that the current edition of the Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition S'hail has attracted the best exhibitors from Qatar and the GCC countries.
During his visit on Wednesday to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change's pavilion at the seventh edition of the exhibition, organized by Katara, His Excellency noted the significant developments in the exhibition.
These included an increase in the exhibition's area compared to previous years, as well as the high level of organization demonstrated by the participating companies and entities, which contributed to a noticeable increase in the number of participants compared to previous editions.
His Excellency toured the exhibition, during which he was briefed by the General Manager of Katara Dr Khaled bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, who is also the head of the organizing committee for the exhibition, about the details of the seventh edition. He also visited the entities and companies exhibiting in the fields of falconry, the sale of weapons, hunting and shooting equipment, trips, and camping.
The Minister of Environment and Climate Change learned about the role played by the ministry's pavilion in informing visitors about the services provided by the ministry's relevant departments to the public, especially those related to natural reserves and wildlife.
Additionally, the pavilion aimed to raise awareness about the regulations governing hunting operations and the various electronic services offered by the ministry.
The ministry's pavilion witnessed significant interest from visitors seeking to learn about the services provided by the ministry. Those in charge of the pavilion were keen to inform the public about various electronic services, particularly those related to the CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) agreement for endangered species of wildlife and plants, the falcon passport issuance process, and the service for requesting the import or export of natural organisms.
