Qatar holds 3rd spot
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) released a new technical classification of the files of the national associations and the Qatari file maintained its third position at the continental level and the second in the West Asia, with 83,315 points.
In term of points, the Qatari file went slightly lower than the July 6 rating by 0.022 points - a decrease that did not affect its rank.
Classification variables do not affect the distribution of seats in the next edition of the AFC Champions League 2018 on the grounds that the classification adopted in the distribution of seats in the Champions League 2017 and 2018 had been issued on November 30, 2016, where Qatar ranked fourth in West Asia to secure two spots in the group stage and two in the preliminary round.
