This collaboration enables the ministry to partner with Snoonu, the leading Qatari online delivery application, renowned for its dedication to facilitating connections between businesses and customers in a convenient and efficient manner.

Through this partnership, Snoonu users will have the opportunity to explore and support local homegrown projects, such as local foods and crafts, as part of the ‘From the Homeland’ initiative. This initiative aims to bolster community spirit, promote the growth and prosperity of the Qatari economy, and nurture entrepreneurial endeavours.

This initiative enhances the sense of community, stimulates the growth and prosperity of the Qatari economy, and nurtures an entrepreneurial spirit. Furthermore, the ministry and Snoonu have outlined plans to provide specialised training and support programmes designed to equip these businesses with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the digital market. This productive cooperation underscores the shared vision of both institutions in their commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs and contributing to the growth and prosperity of the local economy.

Sheikha Sheikha bint Jassim Al Thani, assistant undersecretary for Family Affairs, commented, "This cooperation aims to elevate productive projects to the highest standards of modern e-marketing, aligning with other companies in marketing their products and aligning with the ministry’s strategic plan for 2030, which includes among its primary objectives the engagement of relevant authorities.”

Fatima Al Nuaimi, director of the Family Empowerment Department, expressed her appreciation for the valuable contributions of the project’s partners, including the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund, Nama Centre, and Snoonu Company, who have provided a range of resources to facilitate the project’s development.

He further emphasised, "Our collective efforts will be directed towards forging opportunities for the prosperity and success of national productive projects, especially in the context of advancing technology and superior technical development. We aspire for Snoonu to become the largest platform for national productive initiatives. In the upcoming year, we anticipate the onboarding of 1,200 national production projects, contributing significantly to the local economy with an estimated annual value of QR480 million from national productive projects alone. This, in turn, will result in a surge of employment opportunities, estimated at around 1,500 new jobs for the local community.”

The Snoonu Company will play a pivotal role in bolstering productive projects by featuring and promoting them through the Snoonu application. Additionally, the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund has played a crucial part in this initiative by providing financial support to promote the products created by the owners of these projects. Furthermore, the Social Development Centre - Nama - has emerged as a key supporter of the ‘From the Homeland’ projects by offering development programmes and resources.
