GEORGETOWN: His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani stressed the importance of the agreements signed by the State of Qatar with the Cooperative Republic of Guyana in pushing economic cooperation between the two countries to greater levels, noting that he had held fruitful discussions with HE the President Dr Muhammad Irfan Ali.
His Highness the Amir said, in a post on his official account on the social media platform X: "Today I held fruitful discussions with President Muhammad Irfan Ali, during which we agreed to push our economic cooperation to greater levels, and for this purpose important agreements were signed between us. I am happy with my visit to Guyana, ‘the land of abundant waters’ as it is called; thanks to its president for the invitation and warm reception.”
