QATAR Academy Msheireb (QAM) recently hosted its annual 'Back to School' night to provide parents and teachers with the opportunity to discuss the upcoming academic year and how to enrich the students' overall learning experience, while encouraging their academic and personal development.
Suad al Kindi, director of QAM, welcomed attendees and said:"We, at Qatar Academy Msheireb, work hard on a daily basis to ensure our students benefit from the rich and diverse education we offer. We strive to instil in our students the highest quality social and behavioural skills within the school community, so they can become lifelong learners and responsible citizens."
During the event, Kindi and her team shared valuable information about several topics, including the school's mission, curriculum, teaching strategies and evaluation methods. Parents were also given the opportunity to visit the classrooms, meet their children's teachers and ask questions.
Amal al Kuwari, one of the parents who attended the event, praised QAM's role in shaping the children's future:"This is the third year for my children at QAM. It's great to find a school that offers a high-quality dual-language instructional programme in Arabic and English. We are completely satisfied with QAM in terms of its academic programme and staff. I've recommended the school to many of my friends and family because I'm confident they'll appreciate the high-quality educational experience."
QAM believes parental guidance and involvement is critical to a child's development, and has a significant impact on a student's academic and social achievement. QAM is keen to reach out to parents, ensuring they have the information they need to support and benefit their children. Therefore, QAM aims to involve parents in activities such as workshops, support groups and volunteering activities.
