The eagerly awaited TEDxQatarUniversity conference recently unfolded under the thought-provoking theme, ‘Evolution in Action: How the Past Shapes the Future’. The event took place at the Student Affairs Building Theatre, Qatar University (QU), on September 9. Vodafone and Taswer Co. for Media Production sponsored the event.
Following the same principles as the globally renowned TED Talks, this event aimed to disseminate ideas and stimulate thought-provoking conversations that inspire individuals to take action and bring about positive changes. The theme of TEDxQatarUniversity explores how the past can significantly impact the future and how individuals can glean valuable lessons from historical events to create a better tomorrow.
The conference showcased seven speeches delivered by speakers from various disciplines. These speakers shared their insights, experiences, and unique perspectives on how the past can influence the present and the actions we can take to shape a brighter future. They offered diverse perspectives from fields such as healthcare, social sciences, technology, arts, and engineering. TEDxQatarUniversity provided a platform for individuals to come together and engage in meaningful discussions about critical issues. It celebrated the power of ideas and underscored the importance of critical thinking and creativity in shaping our collective future.
