The Ministry of Transport (MoT) has been certified as a ‘Qualified by EFQM’ organisation, following a thorough assessment process conducted by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). This certification places the MoT among the leading government entities that strive for excellence under the new and improved EFQM 2020 model.
This certification highlights the MoT’s ability to continually improve its performance and excel in all its operations, working creatively and sustainably. It also underscores the MoT’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its services for customers and beneficiaries.
The announcement of this certification was made during Day Two of the MoT’s ‘Sustainable Transportation and Legacy for Generations’ Conference and Exhibition, held on September 17 and 18 at the DECC. The event took place under the patronage of Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
The EFQM model is considered a comprehensive quality management model and is one of the most widely recognized institutional excellence models globally. It is applied in over 30 countries and by more than 50,000 organizations worldwide.
This certification reflects the MoT’s unwavering commitment to excellence and quality. In 2018, the MoT was awarded the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Certification, a significant international certification that recognizes organizations’ compliance with ISO standards.
